Holyistic Health through HIM combines Spirit, Mind and Body into an instrument of living by His Will

“Holyistic Health” recognizes and approaches both wellness and recovery as being governed by the Word and grace of God and the reality that we must take care of body, mind and spirit to keep our body’s in God’s will for us and thus enabling each to fulfill his or her mission in life to glorify the Great Physician and tell the world the message of His salvation for us.

Today’s practice of medicine and scientific efforts in health minimize the presence and use of the Spirit; an essential component of earthly health. Spiritual health has been the subject of many writings, but the keys are in the Bible with many of those verses made available to you in this websites presentation of Bible verses pertaining to health by clicking on Holyistic Health Bible Verses.

Isaiah first and then Paul described the frustrating relationship of God with his chosen people in Isaiah 6:9-10 and Acts 28:25-27 and the relationship of those attitudes to health.  Read these words from the Apostle Paul and see if the general (thank God there are exceptions!) attitude of organized medicine and big pharmaceuticals toward faith in health is not sadly summarized by the following characteristics in today’s world:

“…The Holy Spirit spoke the truth to your forefathers when he said through Isaiah the prophet (Isaiah 6:9-10):  Go to this people and say, ‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.”

For this peoples heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise, they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.'”      Acts 28:25-27

May we pray daily for God’s will to be done in our lives including our health with an uncalloused willingness to be sensitive to God’s message and Word.  If we as individuals, a people of faith and a nation open our hearts to not only knowledge, but understanding and His wisdom, our health and our nation will then have ears that may hear, eyes to see and hearts to understand what we hear and see. For then, and only then, when we turn to God, will we, as individuals, the church and a nation, be healed!   What is your heart health today?

Why is Good Health so Important to a Christian? How are You to use Your Body to Glorify God?  How does the Holistic approach to Health of Whole-Body-Importance versus Individual-Parts-Specialization relate to Christ?

“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, Whom you have received from God? … So use every part of your body to give glory back to God…”  1 Corinthians 6:19-20

You are His temple, and if you invite Him to, He will actually walk around in your body, think with your mind, love with your heart, speak with your lips and continue to seek and save the lost, for whom He gave His life 2,000 years ago. Incredible! Incomprehensible to our finite minds, this truth is so clearly emphasized in the Word of God and demonstrated in the lives of all who trust and obey Him that there can be no doubt. If you have received Christ, God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – now indwells you and your body has become His temple.

You were bought at a price [Jesus death on the cross].  Therefore honor God with your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:20

When you fully grasp that the God of love, grace, wisdom, power and majesty dwells within you waiting to release His matchless love and mighty power through you in your body, it is absolutely awesome.

The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.”  1 Corinthians 12:12-13″

“Every part is placed by God exactly where He wants it. It functions best when it is where he placed it and performing its duty.”  1 Corinthians 12:18

12: Our bodies have many parts, but the many parts make up only one body when they are all put together.  14: Yes, the body has many parts, not just one part.  15: If the foot says, ‘I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,’ that does not make it any less a part of the body.  16: And what would you think if you heard an ear say, “I am not part of the body because I am only an ear, and not an eye’? Would that make it any less a part of the body? 17: Suppose the whole body were an eye – then how would you hear? Or if your whole body were just one big ear, how could you smell anything?

18: But that isn’t the way God has made us. He has made many parts for our bodies and has put each part just where he wants it. 19: What a strange thing a body would be if it had only one part!  So he has made many parts, but still there is only one body.  21: The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.”  The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.

22: And some of the parts that seem weakest and least important are really the most necessary. 23: Yes, we are especially glad to have some parts that seem rather odd! And we carefully protect from the eyes of others those parts that should not be seen, 24:  while of course the parts that may be seen do not require this special care. So God has put the body together in such a way that extra honor and care are given to those parts that might otherwise seem less important. 25: This makes for happiness among the parts, so that the parts have the same care for each other that they do for themselves. 25: If one part suffers, all parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad.”   1 Corinthians 12:12-26

How do we give “glory back to God” with our body’s, while keeping our body’s as a personal temple of the Holy Spirit bought at a price by the death of Jesus on the cross?  Jesus told us clearly in His last words:

He said …, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” Mark 16:15

Malachi, the final prophet of the Old Testament in the final book written 430 years before the birth of Christ, told us the ultimate health benefit of revering the name of God, But for you who revere my name, the sun [Son] of righteousness will rise with healing in its [His] wings… says the Lord Almighty.” Malachi 4:2

Accept,praise and worship Jesus Christ and join the Son (sun) as the risen Savior with the healing power to conquer death, while providing everlasting life without pain or sickness or suffering!  Don’t wait – life on earth is both fragile and brief! An unknown author wisely said, “Life is short; death is sure; sin the cause; Christ the cure!”

FRANK JORDAN’S 7 POINT BIBLICAL PLAN FOR GOOD HEALTH

Frank Jordan believes in and delivers the message of the incredible and sometimes surprising benefits of going to the Bible to glean health wisdom from thousands of years ago. Health guidance recorded in the great Book is as applicable today as in the past to bring health to your family.

Frank describes the 7 keys to good health as

  • Eating a healthy and quality diet with moderation your guide;
  • Supplement with whole food nutrition and quality supplements to compensate for lifestyle and dietary shortcomings;
  • Practice common-sense hygiene with washing hands and brushing teeth a priority;
  • Regain and maintain the body through moderate exercise with no age limitations;
  • Reduce, avoid and remove environmental, chemical and dietary toxins;
  • Live a life of purpose in a spirit-guided manner putting others before yourself in the Spirit of Christ while seeking His way and overcoming temptation through prayer and Bible study;
  • Join Faith Support Groups to both comfort and encourage others and to receive same from Christian brothers and sisters.

Frank noted our body’s should be treated as temples – not trash bins – that too often have become Cathedrals instead of temples in modern times with our obesity epidemic.

You have to establish and then implement a new lifestyle that yields good health.  Until you decide that food is fuel instead of a salve for stress or a reward for enduring those stresses or an entertainment form, you will not succeed in the long run.

Stress and Worry Epidemic Attacks a Nation!  What Can You Do to Attain True Peace in Your Life Today?

No one appears exempt from the stresses from money, careers, family and other relationships, but there are answers for most in spiritual peace through God’s plan for humanity, proper diet, natural quality nutritional supplements, natural treatments and through HIM.  What does the Bible say about worry?

“You cannot add any time to your life by worrying about it.”   Matthew 6:27

Worry divides the mind.  The biblical word for worry (merimnao) is a compound of two Greek words, merizo (to divide”) and nous (the mind”). Anxiety splits our energy between today’s priorities often challenging us with the urgent versus the important and tomorrow’s problems which are all-to-frequently perceived rather than real. Part of our mind is on the immediate; the rest is on the future that has not yet and often does not occur. The result of worry is muddled thinking in a diverted form without focus and clarity of thought for proper decisions involving valid needs both for today and tomorrow.

Even more troublesome, worrying is not a disease, but causes serious health issues.  Stress and worry are connected to high blood pressure, heart health issues, immune response decline, migraine headaches, thyroid and adrenal malfunctions, stomach disorders and much more.  Anxiety and worry are futile. Worry has never brightened a day, solved a problem, or cured a disease.

Stress, anxiety and worry have never been caused by lack of a prescription drug, but the United States is now for too many seeking peace in a bottle! Take prescription medicines only after careful evaluation of risk/reward by your primary care physician, realizing serious side effects and the risk of addiction often can occur in anti-depression drugs.  Determine and know the cause through quiet and honest reflection while attempting to resolve the issues causing the stress. Don’t just numb your brain and body to mask the symptoms with prescription drugs.

Utilize prayer and read the Word of God for the eternal prescription for peace. Use the natural to supplement your body’s needs when disease or an inadequate lifestyle contributes to your stress.  If you must take a drug, do so only for the shortest time in the minimum dosage absolutely necessary under physician direction and constant review for dosage reduction and elimination at the earliest possible time.

A good  multiple vitamin such as NSC Gold IMMUNITION with B complex, calcium, magnesium and other helpful nutrients is an additional aid to the body. NSC IMMUNITION Extra Strength Glucan and NSC Circulatory Plus are also suggested. (Note: If you are taking prescription anti-depressants, absolutely do not cease taking except under physician guidance).

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”  John 14:27

Massage, yoga, moderate exercise and deep breathing can be beneficial and, absolutely essential, is prayer and a hope and certainty about the future and the eternity to be spent in the peace and presence of our Lord.  While many Bible verses give comfort, several of the most assuring are:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with Thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6

Keep Your Focus on the Positive and let Your Life Shine reflecting His Glory!

Your life goals may need adjusting to focus on the positive instead of the negative!  Go to the light instead of the dark side of life and the Son! Take some quiet moments and assess how you are doing in telling others the message of the Savior, serving God each day, and maintaining or regaining your health in an emotional, spiritual and physical sense.  Happiness and fulfillment depend on your success in these areas:

  • If you want better health, focus on the lifestyle and knowledge to achieve better health instead of focusing on poor health and illness.
  • If you want more loving, committed relationships – focus on being more loving to others and yourself while avoiding dwelling on loneliness, stress and strife.
  • If you want more success in your career or work, focus on perfecting your talents, learning new skills, and improving your work habits to do your best in what you are doing, instead of on failures, shortcomings and envy.
  • Always keep in mind the end of life on earth is not the end, but the beginning for those who accept Jesus Christ as the risen Savior of eternal life.

“The things we see now (including illness and suffering) are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we cannot see now will last forever.” Corinthians 7:31

“We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”  2 Corinthians 4:18

“A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.” Proverbs 14:30

“You, Lord, give perfect peace even in turmoil to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you.”  Isaiah 26:3
